Tom's work as writer/director began with a series of short films, including RADICAL HARDCORE, released via Dazed & Confused and going on to be selected as part of Lynne Ramsay’s Electric Shorts series, and the winning a commission as part of the BFI’s Network Pick series. Working since in promos and short form, Tom work includes music videos for Richard Russell’s EVERYTHING IS RECORDED, TUNEYARDS and JOYWAVE, as well as winning multiple awards for his fashion short SLENDER BODIES. He has also worked with brands including Mercedes, Selfridges and Woolmark.
Concurrently Tom has been moving forward into drama, with the upcoming animation short PITCH BLACK PANACEA to be followed by feature debut MEDUSA DELUXE, currently in development with the BFI.
Before moving into directing, Tom had a background in Film & TV with BBC and Emu Films in various roles ranging from Art Director to Assistant and Line Producer - credits include Daniel Wolfe’s CATCH ME DADDY (Cannes 2014, Film4, BFI, Studio Canal), Guy Myhill’s THE GOOB (Venice 2014, BBC, Creative England, BFI) and the Sky Playhouse series (with episodes including - Iain Softley’s THE MAN, written by Sandi Toksvig and starring Stellen Skarsgaard, Hayley Atwell, Zoe Wanamaker, Stephen Fry & Jeremy Brock’s WALKING THE DOGS, starring Emma Thompson, Eddie Marsan and Russell Tovey).
