Lucy is a multi-award winning Belfast born playwright & novelist. She won the 2006 George Devine Award and the 2007 Susan Smith Blackburn Award for her debut play LEAVES. Her new version of Chekhov's THREE SISTERS, set in 1990s Belfast and directed by Selina Cartmell, was on at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast at the end of 2016. Lucy's most recent novel, ALL THE BEGGARS RIDING, was chosen for Belfast's One City One Book campaign and was serialised on BBC Radio 4's Book at Bedtime in early March 2015. In 2011 Lucy won the prestigious Rooney Prize for Irish Literature for her body of work to date. She was shortlisted for the 2012 BBC International Short Story Award for her short story 'Escape Routes' and won the Commonwealth Writers' Award in 2014 with 'Killing Time'. Her debut collection of short stories, Multitudes was published by Faber in May 2016.
