DC Moore is a Northampton-born writer who wrote the 2015 BAFTA award winning comedy drama series, NOT SAFE FOR WORK (Channel 4 / Clerkenwell Films). He has just finished in the Writers Room for Charlie Covell’s original series KAOS (Brightstar/Netflix). He’s also working on television adaptation of JG Ballard's novel SUPER-CANNES (Bonafide Films), a feature adaptation, FOUR TOWNS (Agbo Films), and original projects MARY & GEORGE (Hera Pictures) and CROMWELL (Playground Entertainment). In 2018 worked on TEMPLE (Hera Pictures / Sky) and the second series of KILLING EVE (Sid Gentle/BBC America). In 2016 he won the Best Long Form Drama award at the Writers' Guild Awards, and the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Writer for Not Safe For Work. He has also been nominated in the Breakthrough Talent category at the BAFTA Craft Awards 2016.
For Theatre, David was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2011 for THE EMPIRE for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre (Royal Court) and won the TMA Award for Best Touring Production for the same play. ANOTHER PLACE was nominated for Best New Play at the UK Theatre Awards. His plays include include ALASKA (Royal Court), THE EMPIRE (Royal Court and Drum Theatre, Plymouth), TOWN (Royal & Derngate, Northampton), HONEST (Royal & Derngate, Northampton, Edinburgh Festival & Soho Theatre), THE SWAN (as part of Double Feature - National Theatre, Paintframe), STRAIGHT (Sheffield Theatres and Bush Theatre), ANOTHER PLACE (Drum Theatre, Plymouth) and COMMON (National Theatre).
