Brian Limond, or Limmy, came to the world's attention with his anarchic website and podcasts. After performing hugely successful stand-up, including at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, The Comedy Unit worked with him on his own 6 part series for BBC Scotland, LIMMY'S SHOW which he wrote, directed and starred in. Accurately described as "the most blisteringly original sketch show on TV" by the RadioTimes and after huge critical acclaim, it returned for a second and third series on BBC Scotland, and is now available on Netflix. A follow-up, LIMMY’S HOMEMADE SHOW, is currently in production with BBC Scotland and BBC Two for release in 2020.
In 2013, Brian won his second BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Comedy/Entertainment Programme. He also recently wrote and performed a sketch for BBC iPlayer, FUNNY VALENTINE, which was their most viewed short, and a short film for Sky Arts, LIMMY'S CHRISTMAS.
In January 2016 LIMMY LIVE! played for four sold-out nights at Glasgow's SECC Arena before touring around Britain. He has appeared in such shows as THE IT CROWD (C4), POMPIDOU (BBC) and CHARLIE BROOKER'S WEEKLY WIPES (BBC). He has published 2 books of fiction DAFT WEE STORIES and THAT'S YOUR LOT published by Random House, and one memoir, SURPRISINGLY DOWN TO EARTH AND VERY FUNNY, all three accompanied by a hugely successful live tour.
Brian is also well-known as an online streamer and video-game commentator, with a large following on streaming platform Twitch.
